Transformation l Backyard Part 2

After extensive amounts of Pinterest and Google searching, my husband and I finally decided on our plan of action for the backyard transformation.

The first thing we needed to decide on was whether or not to remove the paving or figure out if we could find a way to work with what we had. We settled on keeping the paving but to look at freshening it up with a coat of charcoal paving paint. To carry the colour through, we are going to place large smooth pavers in the same charcoal tone surrounded by natural stones, and finishing off the garden with charcoal cement edging. For plants, we are looking for low square planters that will house rounded topiary-type shrubs.

This here is my first attempt at using design software – Garden Planner. Not quite 3D is it?! šŸ™‚ It was a lot of fun to do though and helped us visualiseĀ ourĀ idea better.

It was not easy choosing from our selection of inspiration images on Pinterest, but stood out for us.

Looking forward to go shopping!
